Okay, Sunshine Salad is your one stop shop for funky patchwork kids clothes. I bought a pair of her pants for my little guy earlier this year and we've been working them, hard! The construction is unbelievable, they have been washed over and over again and they are still looking new. I've tried to figure out how she laid the patchwork panels in the pants - and I can't. I think she's a magician.
I bought patchies for my guy because I think they are adorable (and I knew his Dad would LOVE them). I was also expected a few jabs from family and friends for dressing Mac like I dressed in high school. To my surprise, everyone adores them. I've had honest feedback from family and numerous compliments from strangers. The votes are counted - these patchies are winners!
Check out Sunshine Salad on Etsy - She's offering 25% off storewide until February 30th with the code "FEBRUARY". Also, free shipping on additional items.

Blue Bird Heaven
Blue Bird Heaven is an amazing Etsy shop where old printer drawers are upcycled into stunning jewelry displays. I love these! I found them by perusing my sisters "favorites" on Etsy.
I happened to have 3 antique printer drawers in my closet and through I'd give it a whirl. A few eye hooks and may hours later - I had my own display case. It wasn't easy, but it was fun!

Nursery Inspiration
We have a little girl headed our way at the end of April (and I just started to get the nesting twitch, yikes!). Our first was a boy and much easier to decorate for. I wasn't flooded with sickeningly sweet images of pink flowers, pink butterflies and even pinker hearts. You certainly can't run out to Target and buy something void of (barf) cuteness.
Our little guy loved his mobile in the early days. It came in a bag of hand-me-downs and lacked any sort of character. I hated it, he loved it. Anyway, this time I'm going to ATTEMPT to make a mobile for a lady. Here is my inspiration...

Magnetic Attraction
A Christmas gift sparked this project. (Thanks cuz!) My son got a pack of handmade magnetic fabric letters for the fridge and it got me thinking. I make appliques. Why couldn't they be magnets?
I gave it a shot and here is the result. Turns out it was pretty simple. I just added a felt backing and slipped in a magnet. Tadaa! Fridge art!
The Golden Globes Went Well?
I forced the hubs to watch the Golden Globes with me this past Sunday. It was a hoot. I was only watching the baby bumps, daydreaming about what celebs hand fondled TWE garb at the Boom Boom Room. Natlie Portman? Nope. Mark Wahlberg's wife? Nope. Ariane Price? Yes! She was on Modern Family and Nickelodeon's All That! Oh, SNAP!
Check out WayTutuCute.com 's press release. And hold your breath.. because that was only day 1!

Etsy Find Friday
Most of you already know I'm a dork. If you don't, well, I am a huuuuuge fan of scrabble. Ughh, I said it. Huuuge fan.
I found these funny throw pillows on Etsy and starting thinking of all of the words I could give someone! "QI" for my sister (her favorite scrabble word) and "SQUEEZE" for my hubby (that's 75 points... blizzow!). Seriously, the variations are endless. Oooh scrabble, how I love thee.

Dear Mr.Gnome, YOU ARE ADORABLE!
Right? I've been drooling over this for the last few days. I think he's a keeper.
Oh, don't you worry. He's painstakingly hand cut (even that tiny little mustache). If he becomes a success, I'll be cursing those little eyebrows...those tiny embroidered eyes...his toothpick forearms. But for now, I'm just going to bask in the glory of my little woodland friend.
And ladies, he's available...for now. (Mrs.Gnome coming soon!)

The Groucho is HOT!
Thanks to Joanna Goddard (A Cup Of Jo), one of my onesies received a boat load of attention around the holidays. Joanna apparently liked my Groucho enough to include it in her holiday gift guide. I was shocked to say the least. Thanks Jo! Shortly after that, the same onesie made it to the front page of Etsy. Again, shocked.
When I was approached about gifting at the Golden Globes "Boom Boom Room" - it was a no brainer. The Groucho it must be! I'm currently (and frantically) tracing, cutting and attaching 50 felt groucho appliques to little white onesies. That's 100 eyebrows, 100 lenses, 100 nostrils, 50 noses, 50 glasses, 50 mustaches and one pair of orange handled scissors. Phew! I love this gig!!!
